Readers' Reviews

Sandy Hancock does an amazing job of bringing her personal stories to life and reminding her readers of God's written word and how that needs to be the backdrop by which we view our circumstances. It is so easy to view God through the lens of our hurt and pain, but she reminds us that He is still Lord no matter what our circumstances look like. I felt encouraged each and every time I read a chapter and was reminded of the Lord's unchanging character through Sandy's use of stories from both the Old and New Testaments as well as passages that speak directly to the process of loss and letting go. Sandy opened up and shared so much of her personal struggles, disappointments and pain that the reader feels a sense of friendship with her by the end of the book. She has tremendous credibility to the reader because of her open and honest approach in sharing what the Lord has taught her along her journey in life. I recommend this book to anyone experiencing a painful loss and disappointment. I have found myself saying, "This is not where my life is supposed to be right now". However, after reading this book, I am reminded of the Lord's desire to give me beauty for ashes and to turn my sorrow into joy. I look forward to moving forward with a hopeful expectation of an amazing life and God bringing good out of my heartache. Thank you Sandy for gently pointing me to the Lord and His Truth and for getting my eyes off myself and my circumstances.

Letting Go: Pathways to an Amazing Life is a book full of spiritual wisdom and encouragement. Sandy Hancock shares some of her own struggles with living a life in submission to God and shows a deep knowledge of Bible Scripture throughout the book.

I found Letting Go: Pathways to an Amazing Life to be a helpful book geared towards steering its reader towards living a life of abundance spoken of in Scripture. It is a well-written book that will help you find satisfaction and contentment in any of life's circumstances. If you have found the dreams of your youth lost, accomplishments in your life not providing the satisfaction you once believed they would, if life has not turned out as you had hoped it would and you find yourself asking "there must be more to life" - this book will provide the answers you are seeking.

Life can be hard and often times is not fair. Do not let the flood waters sweep you away. Happiness does not come with what we have, but in how we live our lives. Thankfulness turns what we have into enough. Hope is the confident expectation that God will use our painful circumstances for good. God's vision and direction for our lives is much bigger than we can conceive. Life's mysteries that baffle us and let us down in this life will one day be made plain. His mercies begin afresh each day.

Begin your pathway to an amazing life by picking up a copy of Sandy Hancock's book: Letting Go: Pathway to an Amazing Life. It is a beneficial book to read and re-read, a must have for anyone who seeks to improve their walk with God.

From her personal experience, Ms. Hancock gives inspired counsel on how to have a truly amazing life. Her insight often goes against the modern cultural norm, and challenges popular notions by taking us back to basic concepts that have been known and have worked for millennia. A must read, if you dare. Warning! Do not read this book if you're happy and content with just miserably existing in this world. You will be challenged.

There are few "religious" books that I truly enjoy reading. Many are laden with so many scriptures that I often think, "Why don't I just pick up the Bible and read that?" I find them to be somewhat choppy and the flow of the story is interrupted by the authors attempt to mold scripture around the points and events in the story. Although there were parts of this book that seemed "forced," on the whole "Letting Go: Pathway to an Amazing Life" was an exception to this rule. I was able to focus on the uplifting story of the author, Sandy Hancock, who wrote this book with passion and conviction. The book held my attention throughout.

This book is the telling of the migration of a life. The journey from being unfulfilled and hungry to one of being satisfied and having a purpose is chronicled and shared with the reader in an interesting and entertaining voice. The author tells of a life that was not necessarily bad but one in which no matter how many worldly successes the author achieved she remained unhappy. The migration to fulfillment is spelled out with the simple resolutions of being submissive to God and repulsion of Satan. Rather than just recite this simple notion, the concept is painted and illustrated with many different instances and examples from the author's life.

There are many memorable moments in the author's words and journey. There are many references to situations that most women will be able to relate to. The scriptural use complements and illustrates her points without distraction and often is enlightening to the reader. I recommend this book to all women who seek to better themselves or simply reaffirm their spiritual journey. Although the author's life and experiences are unique and even charmed in comparison to most, Sandy's search for love and acceptance is one that is universal in its rawest form.

Very often I will put a book down and all that remains with me is the plot or the story or the moral but this is not the case with "Letting Go: Pathway to an Amazing Life." After reading the book and reflecting back on the most memorable points, one particular reference remains implanted in my thoughts. "The only difference between BITTER and BETTER is `I'." This poignant and truthful statement will remain with me forever.

I loved your new book, it is well written, inspirational and full of surprises. Your book must be in every woman's home. I enjoyed reading the last paragraph on page 123-124. Is there a place on earth you have not traveled? I love it. Smile! I can't wait to read your next book.

A lot of the book touches my heart. In fact in a lot of instances it broke my heart. There are times I see myself in the author. What I've learned from your book is this simple truth that God maketh not ashamed. When I am focused and walking with Christ I do so well in my life, it's those times when I lean on my feelings and what I believe is right is when I start to stumble. I realize that no man out here can truly make me happy. I have to find that happiness or better yet that joy in Jesus Christ. Also that I am somebody that is worthy of love, that is worthy to be loved and respected. I guess that's why I'm just waiting and trusting in the Lord and keeping my focus on what's righteous and good.

"Thank you Sandy for the book Letting Go.  I just wanted to let you know and anyone that might be interested in it, let me tell you that it has really helped me and I'm only half way through.  Before i received the book and started reading it, I was going through a lot of chaos in my life, i was scared, full of anxiety all the time, crying and feeling sorry for myself all the time.  Well I still have all that chaos and then some but by reading the book, it has encouraged me and has shown me easily how to pray, what to pray, how to let go, and how to give my problems over to the Lord.  I see God working in my life now, I actually feel it and see it on a daily basis, God is so amazing, praise the Lord!  I have a great desire to seek God more everyday and have a much closer relationship with him now.  Through easy and practicable principles laid out in this book (easy to understand) it has encouraged me to seek God more diligently and God has done the rest.  I learned most of all that God does love me and cares for me, I've always known that but i firmly trust and believe that now and that makes all the difference in the world.  Thanks again Sandy, may God bless you as He has blessed me."

In this work by, Sandy Hancock, we are privileged to share her journey from a joyless life to one of fulfillment. Our author shares some of the trials and tribulations that played havoc in her life until she decided to find and pursue true peace and happiness. Her story is real and heartfelt as she shares with her readers the battles she undertook to achieve her joy. As you travel this journey with her, you truly sense that her words are honest, and you understand that her true desire it to help others overcome the hurdles in their lives that are keeping them in bondage and stealing their true happiness. She is frank in her writing and doesn't hold back in telling the reader when an area may be difficult to overcome, but she is always giving the 'charge' command, to never give up, for in going forward you are assured of victory.

She gives many experiences, uses the Word of God, and encourages you along the way. She even reminds you that you do have an enemy, Satan, and how you can keep him from stealing your victories. Good for her in giving the reader that information.

Author, Sandy Hancock, shares with you the method that she used that was a success in turning her life around, that being her total surrender to, Jesus.

I like her statement on page 49:

"Happiness does not come through fulfilling our desires; it comes through letting them die. It comes from surrendering our wills and living a life of obedience to God."

How true these words are and how wonderful to see an author leading the reader to the true source of their joy and to their victory and contentment in this life.
This is a very good book to help you on your journey for true happiness and joy. Written in an honest and sincere way from a woman who has taken the journey to victory

"As an avid reader of mostly non-religious books, I was pleasantly surprised how much liked this one. I found "Letting Go" to flow smoothly between scripture and the stories of the author and others. This is a REAL story, from a very REAL person who takes us on a journey through her trials & tribulations of looking for her "true love". She would come to discover that the only "true love" can be found in Jesus Christ. This is a terrific book about life and living it to it's fullest. A very inspiring book to readers of any denomination and I recommend it highly."
